From Fiama to chocolaty candyman, from healthiest Ashirbaad Atta to Dark Fantasies, from tangy bingo to B-natural goodness, from Mangaldeep to Savlon and Nymile a brand from morning to night, and of course, how can I forget about a product which contributes more than 50% of its net profit that is ITC cigarette. ITC is a company that started way back in 1910 and had a wonderful journey since then. A company that started with only cigarettes as its main brand today has diversified into more than 5 major business operations.
So, embarking on an internship at ITC, one of India’s leading conglomerates was a dream come true for me. It was the biggest opportunity for me to step into the corporate world, gain practical experience, expand my skills, and immerse myself in a dynamic work environment. My internship at ITC is an incredible journey, filled with invaluable learning experiences, personal growth, and unforgettable memories. In this blog, I will take you through the highlights of my internship at ITC and how it shaped me into a more confident and capable professional.
A Welcoming Environment:
From the very beginning, I felt welcomed and included at ITC. The company had a friendly and inclusive atmosphere, valuing diversity and promoting teamwork. One of the most significant advantages of interning at ITC was the opportunity to learn from industry experts. Working with the regional mentor on the Nymile product during my internship at ITC was an incredible experience.
Throughout my internship, I was fortunate to work under the guidance of experienced mentors who generously shared their knowledge and expertise. Whether it was attending training sessions, or engaging in one-on-one mentorship, I was constantly exposed to a wealth of information and gained a deeper understanding of industry trends, best practices, and the challenges faced by companies like ITC.
I had given a project by ITC where I have to understand the loss of market share of a particular product, competitive analysis, positioning of new get up of the particular product, push new variant, and market analysis.
ITC provided ample opportunities for networking and building professional connections. I had the privilege of interacting with professionals from various departments and seniority levels within the company. Building relationships with industry experts and like-minded peers opened doors to new possibilities and helped me gain insights into different career paths within ITC and beyond. As an intern, I had the privilege of contributing to these initiatives and witnessing first-hand the positive impact ITC was making.
My internship at ITC was an extraordinary experience that exceeded my expectations. The inclusive and nurturing environment, coupled with the opportunity to learn from industry experts, work on challenging projects, and build professional connections, made it a transformative journey. I am always thankful to Calcutta business school where I got the chance to work at ITC and I will always look back fondly on my internship at ITC as a stepping stone towards a successful and fulfilling professional career.
