Shikshayatan Foundation (earlier known as Marwari Balika Vidyalaya Society) is a renowned registered society based in Kolkata having the following educational institutions in and around Kolkata:

• Calcutta Business School Estd. 2008

The Board of Trustees of the Foundation comprises well-known industrialists interested in the spread of education. It is headed by Mr. S.K. Birla, renowned industrialist and president of the foundation, who is also the chairman of the Board of Governors at Calcutta Business School.

In 1920, Marwari Balika Vidyalaya was founded in Kolkata's commercial district of Burrabazar. Over 1000 pupils attend this flourishing institution, which is located at 29&30, Banstolla Lane, Kolkata 700007. In response to calls for greater educational possibilities for women, land at 11 Lord Sinha Road in Kolkata was purchased in order to construct both a school and a college. Shri Shikshayatan School was founded on January 3, 1954, and the college on July 8, 1955. Both the college and the school were referred to as Shri Shikshayatan.
