Originally called the Marwari Balika Vidyalaya Society, the Shikshayatan Foundation Trust was established in 1920. The foundation is essential to the founding, running, and administration of reputable educational establishments in Kolkata, such as Marwari Balika Vidyalaya, Shri Shikshayatan School, and Shri Shikshayatan College.
